It was Brock Lesnar that once said: "It takes some balls to live life to the fullest." Well, we see a lot of balls these days! Small and medium-size spheres are the new thing in design lighting.
Madrid based design agency Stone Designs claim that their inspiration when designing the collection came from the solar system and the orbits circling their planets. Basque manufacturer of designer lighting since 1980 B.lux launched a C_Ball family comprising a floor lamp, one table version, and two suspension models.
The key feature of the C_Ball is a sphere of opal glass of 15 cm diameter, with a metal tube in matte brass or black varnish. This is a family of lamps halfway between classic and contemporary, that are timeless, functional and graphical. "It is an exquisitely clean collection, where particular importance was assigned to the details, one that makes us dream of distant worlds, like those imagined by Julio Verne to write his novels," said Cutu Matazuelos and Eva Prego, two creative artists at Stone Designs.
The C_Ball is already the fourth collaboration between Stone Designs and; other collections are Scout, Ireland, A3-A4 and Castle. The C_Ball was presented at the Milan Design Week 2017 and forms part of the group of decorative lamps by B.lux.
